EZE – Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Buenos Aires): Argentina’s main international gateway and the primary airport for long-haul flights. Located in Ezeiza, around 30 km from central Buenos Aires, it offers extensive connections across South America, North America, Europe and the Middle East. It is the main arrival point for most international travellers visiting Argentina and connects with destinations including Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Rome, London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Miami, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, São Paulo, Santiago de Chile, Lima and Bogotá.
AEP – Jorge Newbery Airfield (Buenos Aires): Located close to the city centre, Aeroparque is Argentina’s main hub for domestic flights and regional international services. It is particularly convenient for travellers connecting Buenos Aires with destinations across South America, including Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia and Peru, as well as major Argentine cities such as Córdoba, Mendoza, Bariloche, Salta, Iguazú and Ushuaia.
COR – Ingeniero Aeronáutico Ambrosio L.V. Taravella International Airport (Córdoba): The main airport serving Córdoba and Argentina’s central region. It operates domestic flights to Buenos Aires and other major Argentine destinations, as well as selected international services to neighbouring South American countries. It can be a useful alternative entry point for travellers visiting Córdoba, the Sierras de Córdoba and the country’s central wine and cultural regions.
MDZ – Gobernador Francisco Gabrielli International Airport (Mendoza): The principal gateway to Mendoza and Argentina’s famous wine country, located at the foot of the Andes. It offers domestic connections to Buenos Aires and other Argentine cities, along with international flights to destinations such as Santiago de Chile. The airport is ideal for travellers combining Argentina with Chile or exploring the Andes and Mendoza’s vineyards.
IGR – Cataratas del Iguazú International Airport (Puerto Iguazú): The main airport for visiting the Argentine side of Iguazú Falls and the surrounding Misiones region. It has regular domestic connections with Buenos Aires and other Argentine cities. Travellers can also combine the destination with the Brazilian side of the falls, although the main international gateway for Foz do Iguaçu is on the Brazilian side.
BRC – San Carlos de Bariloche Airport (Bariloche): The principal gateway to Argentina’s Lake District and Northern Patagonia. It has frequent domestic connections, especially with Buenos Aires, and seasonal or regional international services. The airport is convenient for exploring Bariloche, Villa La Angostura, San Martín de los Andes and the spectacular landscapes of Nahuel Huapi National Park.
USH – Malvinas Argentinas International Airport (Ushuaia): The world’s southernmost international airport and the main gateway to Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego. Ushuaia is also an important starting point for Antarctica cruises.
FTE – Comandante Armando Tola International Airport (El Calafate): The main airport for Southern Patagonia and the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park. It provides regular connections with Buenos Aires and other Argentine cities and is the most convenient airport for visiting the Perito Moreno Glacier, El Chaltén and the surrounding Patagonian landscapes.
REL – Almirante Marcos A. Zar Airport (Trelew): The main gateway to the Atlantic coast of Patagonia and the wildlife destinations of Península Valdés. It offers domestic connections, particularly with Buenos Aires, and is convenient for visiting Puerto Madryn, Punta Tombo and the region’s famous colonies of Magellanic penguins, sea lions and seasonal southern right whales.
SLA – Martín Miguel de Güemes International Airport (Salta): The principal gateway to Salta and northwestern Argentina. It connects the region with Buenos Aires and other Argentine cities and is well positioned for exploring the colonial city of Salta, the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Jujuy, Cafayate and the dramatic landscapes of the Andes and the Calchaquí Valleys.
