Day 1 - Welcome to Manaus

Today you will arrive in Manaus. You will be met on arrival and transferred to hotel. After a refreshing time at the hotel enjoy a city tour with a private guide, passing by downtown for a visit to the Opera House and the Market. The Amazonas Theatre was built in the 19th century during Manaus’ golden rush era, and locals have preserve its beautiful French architecture. Take the guided tour through the Opera House to learn a little bit more about the lifestyle in the 1800s in Manaus. This city is also a great place to try some of the typical Amazonian food, like tacacá or jaraqui. We recommend having a traditional dinner at the Caxiri restaurant in the historic center, which is 2 minutes walk from your hotel. Overnight at Juma Opera Hotel

Continue to  the lodge by road and speed boat  (2 h). The owners of the lodge are natives of the Acajatuba community, they know the Amazon very well and are eager to pass their knowledge to their guests. Overnight at Trapiche Eco Amazon Lodge.

They have a fantastic contact with the animals. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go on a tour in the Anavilhanas (the second major fluvial Archipelago in the world). Day 7 - Back to Manaus

Today is the day of your departure. After breakfast spend a relaxing morning at the lodge, enjoying the sounds of nature. The transfer back to Manaus will be organised according to your flight departure. We usually recommend choosing an evening flight, because the boat & road transfer back takes a few good hours. Alternatively, spending an extra night in Manaus is highly recommended. The capital of Amazonas has a good selection of excellent restaurants with local specialties. A special Amazonian dinner is worthwhile, without doubt.
