Ananda Atins

Location: Ananda Atins is located in the small fishermen village of Atins, the gateway to Lencois Maranhenses National Park, state of Maranhao, north-eastern Brazil. This region is a discreet paradise facing the Atlantic Ocean. Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, one of the most incredible ecosystems in the world with sublime dunes and freshwater lagoons. In Atins there are no paved roads and all the transfers from the river drop off are done by buggy or 4×4.

How to get here: There are two options:

Fly to Sao Luis (SLZ). Here you have to take a land transfer till Barreirinhas, and then a boat transfer on Rio Preguicas till Cabure, followed by another boat crossing to Atins. Distances are long and an overnight in Barreirinhas would be needed to break the journey.

Fly to Jijoca (JJD) or to Fortaleza (FOR). Coming from the other side takes a longer time and also requires at least one overnight in Parnaiba or Barra Grande, to break the journey. Then you would continue by road to Tutoia and Cabure, followed by a boat crossing to Atins.

Structure: Ananda Atins is a fully furnished high-end villa, built in 2 large blocks, surrounded by a large garden. The house has a large deck with sun loungers, outdoor daybed lounge, outdoor dining room and hammocks. There is a lovely social area with kitchen, dining room, living room and varanda. The design is majestic and homey. There are two luxurious master suites, each equipped with a balcony, and a large suite room with 4 single beds. The house accommodates eight people in a sophisticated environment that gives a feeling of intimacy and relaxation.
The villa has three large en-suite bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen.
