Location : Jardim da Amazonia Lodge is a small boutique lodge, located in São José do Rio Claro, on the banks of the Rio Claro River, in the state of Mato Grosso in Brazil. This area represents the meeting point of two biomes – the Amazon and the Cerrado – an area of outstanding biodiversity.

Structure : The Lodge’s facilities are inspired by the iconic stilt and wooden houses of the Amazon from the 1980s. The decor features earthy and neutral tones, creating a rustic chic style where simplicity brings a warm and authentic atmosphere that is perfectly integrated into the Amazonian landscape. There are only 10 rustic-chic rooms, combining the charm of cottage style with regional authenticity.
Why staying here : One of the best places in Brazil for birdwatching and jungle safaris. There are many activities to enjoy such as canoeing, jungle walks, bird-watching, photography tours and educational trips. In this overlapping area, more than 30 species of mammals, including 7 primate species, and over 585 bird species find refuge, forming a true sanctuary of biodiversity. The area of the Jardim da Amazônia is 100 hectares, bordering 80,000 hectares of Permanent Preservation Area. It features 15 km of trails highlighting species such as Pequiá, Angelim, and Jatobá.
