Jardim da Amazonia Lodge

Location : Jardim da Amazonia Lodge is a small boutique lodge, located in São José do Rio Claro, on the banks of the Rio Claro River, in the state of Mato Grosso in Brazil. This area represents the meeting point of two biomes – the Amazon and the Cerrado – an area of outstanding biodiversity. 

How to get here : Fly to Cuiaba (CGB) and then take a land transfer to São José do Rio Claro. Considering there are 290 km from Cuiabá Airport, the approximate travel time can vary between 3-4 hours, depending on traffic and speed. Normal cars can be utilized, not just a 4×4. 

Structure : The Lodge’s facilities are inspired by the iconic stilt and wooden houses of the Amazon from the 1980s. The decor features earthy and neutral tones, creating a rustic chic style where simplicity brings a warm and authentic atmosphere that is perfectly integrated into the Amazonian landscape. There are only 10 rustic-chic rooms, combining the charm of cottage style with regional authenticity.

In this overlapping area, more than 30 species of mammals, including 7 primate species, and over 585 bird species find refuge, forming a true sanctuary of biodiversity. The area of the Jardim da Amazônia is 100 hectares, bordering 80,000 hectares of Permanent Preservation Area. It features 15 km of trails highlighting species such as Pequiá, Angelim, and Jatobá.
