How to get here: Barra Grande is off the beaten path. An unpaved road bring you to the hotel. Getting here via boat transfer is often a good option. The nearest airport is located in Ilhéus, 70 km from Itacaré. The road transfer takes approximately 2-3 hours. From Salvador the trip is longer, and the road is not as good. There is also a heliport and one can take a scenic flight from Salvador (45 min).
