Location: Pousada do Parque is located in a private property, at the limits of the Chapada dos Guimarães National Park, in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. It is 20 min drive from the cute town of Chapada dos Guimarães, where one can find places to dine.

How to get here: Fly to Cuiaba (CGB) in Mato Grosso and take a land transfer of 1 hours 20 min.

Structure: There are only ten rustic wooden apartments. There is an on-site, swimming pool, a sauna, a Shala for Yoga lovers and a restaurant. The terrace has breathtaking view of the national park,  where you can relax watching the sunset or moon rise at the end of hiking. On the property there are two seasonal waterfalls (December to July), an observation tower and several scenic trails.

Why staying here: It is one of the best hotels in the area, with a very good location near the park. The hotel uses environmentally friendly practices and is involved in preservation projects. This is also a great place for birdwatching, as the region is a transition zone between three different ecosystems: cerrado, Pantanal and the Amazon.
