When to Visit

The best time to visit is during the dry season (December to April) when the weather is pleasant, 24 – 30°C (75 – 86°F).

However, during the rainy season (May to November) everything is lush, waterfalls are fuller and more dramatic. But, rainfall is common, especially in the afternoons. Some trails may be muddy or closed.

It is ok to visit in the shoulder months of May, June, and November which are usually less rainy than September and October, so trails are accessible and the landscape is still beautifully green.

Day 1 - Fly to Liberia

Today catch a flight to Liberia, the gateway to Costa Rica’s northern Guanacaste Province.
