The best time to visit Provence is from April to June or from September to November, when the weather is mild and there are fewer crowds. During these seasons, temperatures are not high and crowds are not around. In the spring everything smells divine and in the fall the vineyards are filled with ripe grapes ready for harvest. July and August can be quite hot and it is very crowded.

Day 1 - Biarritz

Start your journey in Biarritz, in the very south-west of France, very close to the Spain’s border. The Basque Country is the perfect place for nature lovers. This picture-postcard region offers beautiful scenery and varied landscapes. Relax, swim or surf, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the coastline.  The area is well knows beyond the borders of France, yet it is small enough to visit in just one day! Few destinations offer the possibility of hiking in the mountains in the morning and enjoying beautiful beaches in the afternoon.  The atmosphere in Biarritz has an upscale feel to it that is balanced off with the easy-going surf culture. This interesting contrast forms Biarritz identity. Overnight at Beaumanoir Small Luxury Boutique Hotel.
