My name is Isabella and I am the Colombia Travel Specialist. Living in my home country Colombia, I have explored its vibrant landscapes, from the lush Amazon rainforest to the stunning Caribbean coastline and the historic charm of Cartagena. Colombia’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty have fueled my passion for creating unique and unforgettable travel experiences. I have also lived in Paris, the city of lights and a global epicenter of fashion, art, and cuisine, where I honed my understanding of luxury travel and high-end experiences.
I am an avid traveler who loves the outdoors and exploring new destinations and cultures. Throughout my past professional experiences in hospitality and art, I have fostered impactful collaborations with luxury brands, fostering strong relationships. I am committed to leveraging my extensive experience to create bespoke holidays in Colombia that will exceed your expectations. Apart from Spanish and English, I also speak French and would love to hear about your travel plans to my country.
“First of all, I get asked about the security in Colombia by many people who want to visit my country. My advise is that when you follow the recommended safety guidelines, you will be safe. With the local itinerary we have prepared for you, there are no dangers around and you will have a guide with you all the time.
In Colombia, you must come and try our exotic fruits like mangostino, pitaya, papaya and maracuya. Be careful with the altitude, as you might experience high-altitude sickness. Don’t worry, though, we will provide coca tea, a traditional remedy for this. Moreover, you should savor the flavors of ajiaco, bandeja paisa, empanadas, and pandebonos – these are some of our beloved traditional dishes.
Then, my greatest love in Colombia is our mountains. You must hike to Bogotá’s Monserrate, Santander’s Chicamocha Park, and in Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Don’t miss the stunning Colombian coastlines, both Pacific and Caribbean. They make Colombia a unique country rich in nature and wildlife.
Because of Colombia’s mountainous geography, traveling between destinations can be challenging. Therefore, don’t hesitate to ask about the places you want to visit first. I’m sure you’ll come back to explore more!
We Colombians are warmhearted, hospitable and resilient. We love to welcome visitors with open arms and share our stories, our food, and our way of life. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of what makes Colombia so special and with memories that will last a lifetime.
Learning basic Spanish phrases will help you connect with locals and enhance your experience. Embrace the culture by joining local festivals, dancing to salsa, and soaking in the warm hospitality. Colombians love sharing their culture, and you’re going to love it here! ¡Te esperamos!”
