Wisteria Season: Late spring to early summer is warm and inviting, perfect for wandering under cascading wisteria tunnels in Ashikaga Flower Park and Kawachi Wisteria Garden. With fragrant blooms in soft purples and whites, this season invites visitors to immerse themselves in Japan’s fairytalish floral displays. The lush surroundings and unique floral arrangements create a surreal experience, ideal for photography and serene nature walks.

Plum Blossom Season: As winter fades into early spring, Japan’s plum blossoms add a splash of color to the landscape. Mild, cool temperatures make it ideal for exploring peaceful parks and shrines in Tokyo and Kyoto, where pink and white plum blooms signal the arrival of spring. Day 1 - Arrival in Tokyo

Step into the heart of Japan’s cherry blossom season as you arrive in the vibrant Japanese capital, where tradition meets modernity. During spring, Tokyo transforms into a mesmerizing wonderland with bursts of pink and white blossoms adorning parks and streets. Relax or stroll around the neighborhood near your hotel where sakura trees provide a picture-perfect backdrop. Enjoy hanami, the cherished Japanese tradition of flower viewing, celebrating under the blooming trees. Day 2 - Tokyo Sakura Blossoms

After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, one of Tokyo’s prime cherry blossom-viewing spots. This expansive park features over a thousand cherry trees in different varieties, from early-blooming Kanzan to delicate Somei-Yoshino. From here, head toward Tenryu-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site surrounded by beautiful gardens and, in spring, cherry blossoms. Next, take a walk along Arashiyama’s riverbank and cross the famous Togetsukyo Bridge to see cherry trees that line the river, often with soft pink petals reflected in the water. Day 7 - Hitachi Seaside Park

Today, travel to Hitachi Seaside Park on the outskirts of Tokyo, renowned for its sprawling fields of seasonal flowers. In spring, fields of baby blue nemophila (baby blue eyes) blanket the hills, creating a mesmerizing sea of blue. This park also features seasonal flower gardens, including tulips, rape blossoms, and other spring flowers. In the afternoon, return to Tokyo and make a stop at Asakusa to explore Senso-ji Temple amidst cherry blossoms, a timeless combination of Tokyo’s traditional culture and spring’s vibrant beauty. For a memorable farewell to Tokyo, visit Rikugien Garden, where you can view cherry blossoms illuminated in the evening, casting a magical glow over the landscape. Overnight at Trunk Tokyo.

Day 8 - Departure

Enjoy a final breakfast in Tokyo before checking out. Reflect on the beauty of Japan’s spring blooms, from the delicate cherry blossoms of Tokyo and Kyoto to the vibrant flowers at Ashikaga and Hitachi. Your transfer will take you to the airport for your flight home, filled with memories of Japan’s enchanting floral season.
