Day 1 - Arrival in Naha

Welcome to Naha, the vibrant capital of Okinawa, blending modernity with traditional Japanese charm. In the afternoon, begin your exploration with a visit to Fukushuen Garden. This serene garden is a hidden gem designed in the style of a traditional Chinese garden, complete with koi-filled ponds, intricate pavilions, and lush greenery. It offers a tranquil escape and a glimpse into the traditional aesthetics of Chinese landscape design. Next, head to the Matsuyama District, a historic area known for its quaint streets and local shops. Here, you can explore traditional crafts and soak in the atmosphere of old Naha. The district is characterized by its narrow alleys lined with small, family-run stores and eateries, offering a charming contrast to the city’s modern areas. Day 2 - Zamami-jima

After a hearty breakfast, take the 10am ferry from Naha to Zamami-jima, a 2-hour scenic journey across crystal-clear waters. The island is renowned for its stunning beaches and vibrant marine life, making it a paradise for nature lovers. Arrive at Furuzamami Beach, where you can bask in the sun and dive into the inviting turquoise waters. This beach has excellent snorkeling opportunities, with an array of colorful coral reefs and diverse marine species. Get some snorkeling gear and enjoy the beautiful underwater world. Day 3 - Naha

Today visit the Zuisen Distillery, known for its production of Awamori, Okinawa’s traditional distilled spirit. Learn about the distillation process and the history of Awamori, followed by a tasting session of different varieties and distinct flavors. Next, explore Shuri Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was once the royal palace of the Ryukyu Kingdom. Wander through its reconstructed halls and gardens, marveling at the traditional architecture and learning about its rich history. The castle’s elevated position offers panoramic views of Naha city and the surrounding area. Conclude your day with a visit to Tsuboya Yachimun Street. Day 4 - Ta-taki Waterfall & Kouri-jima

Continue your journey to the Kouri Bridge, an impressive structure connecting the mainland to Kouri Island. After enjoying a breakfast, transfer to Naha Airport for your flight to Ishigaki, a key island in the Yaeyama Archipelago. Upon arrival at Ishigaki Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the late afternoon, embark on a boat trip to experience the spectacular sunset over the sea. Ishigaki’s coastal waters offer stunning sunset views, with the sky often painted in brilliant hues of orange and pink as the sun dips below the horizon. Enjoy a peaceful evening back at your hotel, where you can relax and soak in the island’s tranquil atmosphere. Overnight at Seven Colors.

Day 6 - Ishigaki

Start your day with an exciting snorkel trip. Immerse yourself in the natural wonders of Ishigaki by visiting the Yonehara Beach, which has excellent snorkeling opportunities. The coral gardens just off the shore are teeming with tropical fish, making it a snorkeler’s paradise. The island’s waters have a clear visibility and a vibrant marine ecosystem. Discover the world of colorful coral reefs, tropical fish, and other fascinating marine life. After your aquatic adventure, return to your hotel for lunch and some rest. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure. Explore Ishigaki Yaima Village, where traditional Okinawan houses and cultural performances offer insight into the island’s rich heritage. Enjoy a final breakfast in Ishigaki before preparing for your journey home. A transfer will take you from your hotel to the airport for your departure flight.
