Lentorre Lodge

South Rift Valley | Kenya

Exclusive small lodge located in a remote area of Kenya, with great views and unique experiences. They have an animal hide for photographers and the cultural immersion here is really fantastic. Ideal for small groups and families who are looking for privacy.

Deep in the heart of the Great Rift Valley, beyond the volcanic lunar landscape surrounding the soda lakes of Magadi and Natron, in the Olkirimatian Conservancy, lies the oasis of Lentorre. The lodge is set on a spur running off the Nguruman Escarpment beside a natural spring in the heart of the Olkiramatian Conservancy, a community initiative developed by the local Maasai community to protect their wildlife, traditional lifestyle and their heritage.

Nestled in this natural amphitheatre, Lentorre provides uninhibited views of Mt Shompole, Ol Donyo Gelai and the active volcano Ol Donyo Lengai. The spring behind the lodge provides a constant source of cool fresh water and sustains a grove of venerable tamarind trees and elephants continue to gather to feed on ripe tamarind.

The lodge cam be reached by road form Nairobi (3,5h) or by a private flight to a nearby airstrip. With no fence and a well visited water hole with adjacent game blind you really do feel close to nature.

Comprising of four large villas that hold either a double or twin bed configuration, a family villa and a honeymoon villa, the lodge has a maximum capacity of just 16 guests. Each villa is a separate, stand-alone structure with an un-spoilt view of the wilderness looking towards Shompole Mountain. Each villa has its own dedicated plunge pool, incredible power shower and some have a luxurious bathtub.
