The palatial house Sirai Beach is set on the southern side of Kilifi Creek where the Goshi River reaches the Indian Ocean, in Kenya. Sirai Beach enjoys a tropical climate with sunshine all year round. Sirai Beach enjoys a very peaceful location – the ocean opposite the house itself is blissfully undisturbed by engine noise from motorised boats. Fly from Nairobi Wilson to Vipingo Ridge Golf Estate and drive to Sirai Beach for 30 minutes. Kilifi is a two hour drive from Mombasa and a one hour drive from Malindi.
The ground floor of the main house is arranged around a beautiful open veranda, flanked by a breezy dining room on one side, and lavish drawing room on the other. The entire first floor is given over to the master suite, while the other five suites are dotted around the gardens, all with their own verandas, private rooftop terraces and cavernous bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers. The house is equipped with state-of-the-art communications and entertainment system. With its 25-metre infinity pool and poolside bar, tennis court, gym and spa within its grounds, Sirai Beach is the ultimate beachside residence, the perfect place for lazy days at the Indian Ocean. The house is served by an accomplished chef and house team.
A coral spiral staircase located near the pool leads down to the ocean, where, during low tide, the rock pools can be explored. The ocean’s coral reef is home to a kaleidoscope of colourful tropical fish. Snorkeling equipment, reef shoes and 2 stand up paddle boards are provided.
Every year between July and September, one can see humpback whales. Dolphins are best seen from November to April, although they stay in the Kilifi waters year-round. The best golf course in the East African region, the PGA Baobab Course on Vipingo Ridge is 30-minutes’ away by car. Riding is also available at Vipingo on excellent calibre horses. Scuba diving, deep sea fishing, sailing, wake boarding, water skiing, jet skiing and wind surfing are available in the area.
