A great place with a majestic view on Mt. Kilimanjaro. This is the place to see the big tuskers in abundance, as well as flamingos and other wildlife types. A cozy place with really charming settings. Recommended stay: starting with 3 nights.

Location: Tawi Lodge is located on a private conservancy of 3,000 acres just five minutes from Kimana Gate, along the eastern boundary of Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m) – the worlds’ largest free-standing mountain.

How to get here: Amboseli is very easy to get to either via road, train (get off at Emali station) or air.

Structure: An oasis in the dry landscape of the Amboseli region, relax in the cool, lush gardens of the lodge. Tawi has 13 gorgeous, spacious cottages with views looking up at Mt. Kilimanjaro. All are ensuite with a bath and a shower. Two of the cottages are joined by the extending veranda, so perfect for a families. The lodge is an eco-friendly operation, set overlooking a waterhole, with fantastic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro & a steady flow of wildlife including the epic elephant herds visiting through the day and night. Staying at Tawi, you get the best of both worlds, a private conservancy & swift access to the one of Kenya’s most unique national parks.
