Madagascar in April

Is April a good time to visit Madagascar? Yes, April is the start of the dry season which lasts until November. It’s the hottest period of the year on the east coast, with averages temperatures of 30°C. While there may still be rain in the east and north, April opens the doors to a tranquil shoulder season in Madagascar. Lemurs start breeding in April, the island is very green after the rainfalls and it is an excellent time to see wildlife. National parks reopen and lodges start to receive guests. This month still can have changing weather patterns, but overall we would recommend traveling to Madagascar during this month.
