Having some warmer cloths is a good idea while traveling through the highlands, especially for chillier evenings. It is the start of the whale season in Madagascar. The coast is fantastic for swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving and boat trips. June is the month of rice harvesting which can be really spectacular to watch.
