Day 1 - Welcome to Saint Lucia

Today you will arrive at either Vieux Fort (UVF) airport in the south of the island or at Castries (SLU) airport in the north of Saint Lucia. You will be picked up at the airport and driven to your hotel. We chose Fond Doux as it is an eco-friendly colonial resort nestled into a 250-year-old working plantation. The views over the rainforest are splendid. It is a 45-min ride from the southern airport and about 1,5h ride from the northern airport. Your journey towards your best relaxation holiday starts with a flight-relieving massage. Welcome to Saint Lucia! Overnight at Fond Doux Plantation Resort.

Day 2 - History & Chocolate

Recover from the jetlag or the stress of travelling  by enjoying a tropical breakfast by the pool of your hotel, and listening to the sounds of nature. Take a heritage tour at Fond Doux Plantation, learn about the French colonial traces, the making of chocolate and taste some local fruits. After lunch, head to Sugar Beach and spend the afternoon either snorkeling  or relaxing on a sun lounger.  Located between the iconic Pitons, this is one of the most scenic beaches of the island. Snorkeling in Saint Lucia is top-notch, there is a rich marine life, you will simply not want to leave the water. Overnight at Fond Doux Plantation Resort.

Day 3 - Diamond Waterfalls

Start your day with a refreshing swim in Anse Chastanet and snorkel among the various species of fish and corals of this marine reserve. Grab a local lunch in the picturesque town of Soufrière, which is also a UNESCO Heritage Site. After lunch, head to the lush Diamond Botanical Gardens and discover the rich flora of the island. A beautiful waterfall is hidden amongst the tall lush trees covered by tropical plants at the end of a relaxing path. On your return to Soufrière spend a relaxing time watching the sundowners and sipping some of the delicious local rum cocktails. Overnight at Fond Doux Plantation Resort.

Rise with the birds and hike the Gros Piton, from where you will have breathtaking views on Petit Piton and the other side of the island. The hotel will prepare some picnic boxes to take with you on the trail. Tet Paul trail is an option for those who don’t feel like hiking for 4 hours but still want to enjoy the views. Back to your hotel, relax your exhausted legs with a well-deserved deep-tissue massage. Overnight at Fond Doux Plantation Resort.

Day 5 - Sulphur Springs

Today soothe your sore muscles in the hot waters of the Sulphur Springs. Saint Lucia being of a volcanic origin, is rich in medicinal springs. The mud baths will do wonders to your body and mind. Once you are relaxed and refreshed, go down to Morne Coubaril to taste their Creole buffet, then spend the afternoon either ziplining, horseback riding or simply visiting this ancient plantation. Your guide will let you try local fruits and tell you everything about the processing of the cocoa beans  and the different uses of medicinal plants. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Today take a trip towards the North of the island and discover Saint Lucia’s pirate spirit and the historic past in the forts and stories of the Pigeon Island National Park. Take a short but rather steep hike up to the tower. The top will reward you with amazing views on the bay. Also from here you can see neighbouring Caribbean islands on a clear day. Spend the rest of the day relaxing on one of the beaches in the area, swimming, snorkeling or enjoying a tropical drink. In the evening, take a walk in Rodney Bay and choose between local, French, Asian or Indian cuisine. Overnight at Fond Doux Plantation Resort.

After seeing Saint Lucia’s coast from the top of the hills, change your perspective and see it from the bottom up, on a catamaran trip. During the trip, you will stop in Marigot Bay and Anse Cochon, where you can snorkel or take a swim. Marigot Bay is called the most beautiful place of the Caribbean Sea! The bay is a shelter of boats during the hurricane season, there are many bars and restaurants and a small marina. Enjoy the reggae vibe, listen to the local stories about pirates and spend the day socializing. Upon your arrival back to the south, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Take a stroll at the market and discover the hand-made souvenirs, treat yourself with a chocolate-making workshop at the Howelton Estate.
