The ideal time to visit is during the spring and early summer months, from September to November, or early autumn, from March to May. These periods offer pleasant weather, blooming landscapes, and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities without the extreme temperatures of mid-summer or the cooler, wetter conditions of winter.

Day 1 - Arrival in Cape Town

Day 2 - Table Mountain & Robben Island

Begin today with a hike on Table Mountain (weather permitting). Choose route you prefer based on experience. Enjoy a quick breakfast snack with a beautiful morning view of the cityscape below, the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and Robben Island. Take a cable car down or choose to continue your hike. Take a ferry to Robben Island for an afternoon of history spanning 500 years and a profound symbol of resilience and the human spirit triumphing over adversity, suffering and injustice. Day 3 - Cape City

Day 4 - Kirstenbosch & Boulders Beach

Today, you will transfer to Hermanus (1hr 45min), a charming coastal town famed for its rich marine biodiversity and stunning natural scenery. Day 8 - Walker Bay

After breakfast, immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Walker Bay Nature Reserve with a scenic hike along pristine, secluded beaches. What a breathtaking coastal walk, where the trails wind through indigenous fynbos vegetation, offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Stroll along the famous cliff paths, where you can spot whales up close (from June to late November), and enjoy the charming shops, cafes, and vibrant atmosphere that make Hermanus a beloved seaside destination. Day 9 - Garden Route

Today you will transfer to the Garden Route Coast (3 hours), that extends from Mossel Bay in the Western Cape to Storms River in the Eastern Cape, and enjoy a scenic journey through the Western Cape of South Africa.  This drive will offer you a mix of coastal and inland views, taking you through some of the Western Cape’s most scenic landscapes. Enjoy a romantic picnic before a sunset safari in the game reserve, home to elephants, lions, buffaloes, white rhinos, giraffes, cheetahs and a variety of antelope species, so be sure to bring your binoculars and camera. Day 10 - Safari & Birdwatching

Embark on an early morning game drive where predators like lions and leopards, as they are often more active during the cooler parts of the day. Your experienced ranger will share fascinating facts about the animals, their behaviours, and the ecosystem. Learn about the conservation efforts in preserving wildlife. Enjoy breakfast upon return. Enjoy some bird watching and learn about the flora and fauna from the knowledgeable staff. Visit the spa for some relaxing treatments. In the afternoon experience another game drive with a chance to spot more animals. End the evening with a night at the Boma for a truly African culinary experience. Day 11 - Departure

Experience your last game drive in the morning, making the most of your final opportunity to witness the incredible wildlife. Your ranger will share their extensive knowledge and passion for the area. After the game drive, visit the local shop to purchase souvenirs, such as handcrafted items or local artwork to remind you of your adventure. With your bags packed and souvenirs in hand, depart on your trip back to Cape Town (3, 5 hours).  Enjoy the scenic drive through the Western Cape, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of your journey. Arrive in Cape Town with enough time to check in for your evening flight.
