Next, fly to Zimbabwe to witness the magnificent Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, cross into Botswana’s Chobe National Park for an exhilarating game drive. International flights are not included in the package price. We give you the freedom to book the flights yourself, use miles and choose your preferred airline, and if you are stuck we can help you find the right connections. Return flights to South Africa start from £800 per person, depending on the connections and time of the year. Fly to Cape Town (CPT) or to Johannesburg (JNB).

Day 1 - Hoedspruit

Today transfer from JNB Airport to Hoedspruit in Limpopo province (6 hours), in the heart of Kruger National Park. You will arrive in the afternoon, just in time to enjoy a picnic set amidst the picturesque backdrop of the garden. This picnic is the idyllic setting to create beautiful memories. The centerpiece of the picnic is a meticulously crafted charcuterie board, exquisitely arranged with an assortment of delectable treats. Spend the rest of the evening around the campfire before retiring to your tent at the lodge for the night. Overnight at Phelwana Game Lodge.

Day 2 - Hoedspruit

Wake up early to experience a morning game drive in the private reserve, with a chance to see Africa’s most renowned animals, including giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and hippos. After a hearty breakfast, go fishing and enjoy catch-and-release at Nyala Dam within the reserve, promising a rewarding experience for fishing enthusiasts of all levels. The dam is host to very large catfish and carp, providing a good fishing experience surrounded by beautiful bushveld. Indulge in al fresco dining which is set up right by the tranquil waters of the dam. Immerse yourself in the natural sights, sounds, and aromas of the African bush. Overnight at Phelwana Game Lodge.

Day 3 - Kruger National Park

Wake up early for a 5 am departure to Kruger National Park for a guided tour in an open safari vehicle. Take the day looking for the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) along with other wildlife species, including giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and hippos. Bird enthusiasts are also in for a treat with over 500 bird species soaring through its skies. The landscape of Kruger is as diverse as its wildlife, encompassing expansive savannahs, dense forests, winding rivers, and rugged mountains. This varied terrain provides a habitat for an astonishing variety of plant life, from towering baobab trees to delicate orchids. Return to the lodge for dinner at the restaurant or garden deck. Day 4 - Panorama Route

After breakfast travel by road to Blyde River Canyon in Mpumalanga (for 1 hour), one of the largest canyons on earth and is world famous for its breathtaking viewpoints and magnificent waterfalls. Marvel the panoramic views of the Three Rondavels, the Pinnacle, and the God’s Window on a guided tour. After lunch take a boat cruise on the river canyon led by a professional guide. You will be able to spot hippos or crocodiles, along with many other types of wildlife that call the canyon home. Return to the lodge for dinner. Over at Phelwana Game Lodge.

Day 5 - Zambezi River Cruise

Depart from the lodge to MQP Airport (1 hour 45 min). Take a 1,5 hour flight to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Upon arrival, proceed to your lodge, located near the falls. After checking in, refresh and later, prepare for an enchanting dinner cruise on the Zambezi River. Marvel at the diverse array of exotic birdlife, crocodiles, and hippos as you cruise along Africa’s 4th largest river. Indulge in a selection of refreshments and snacks while enjoying the breathtaking scenery. As the sun sets, savour a delightful 3-course dinner, illuminated by lanterns, with the melodious backdrop of hippo calls. Experience the magic of the African night sky. Day 6 - Victoria Falls

After breakfast begin your visit on a guided tour to Victoria Falls. Walk along the viewpoints on the Zimbabwean side of the falls to witness the majestic cascades and feel the spray of the water on your face. If you are seeking adventure, indulge in the exhilarating experiences of the flying fox, zip line, and gorge swing at Victoria Falls. Glide through the air above the Zambezi River, feeling the rush of wind against your skin. Experience the adrenaline-fueled free fall of the gorge swing as you soar over the breathtaking gorge below. Day 7 -  Victoria Falls

Enjoy some early breakfast then take to the skies with a 25-minute helicopter ride for unrivalled aerial views over the Victoria Falls, the Batoka Gorge, the Zambezi River and the national park where you will spot a variety of wildlife before landing. Later, relax in the misty gorge and watch multiple rainbow views. Take a 3.9-km guided walk near Victoria Falls, Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe side. This is a very popular area for hiking and walking, so you’ll likely socialise with other explorers along the way. Return to your lodge for a lovely swim in the pool before dinner. Day 8 - Chobe

After breakfast travel to by road to to the Kazungula border with Botswana (1 hour 15 min). Here the local guide will meet you and take you to Chobe National Park. Your tour will start with a boat cruise on the Chobe River, viewing wildlife along the river. The cruise ends just in time for lunch at the riverbank. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Chobe National Park where you will have the opportunity to enjoy an abundance of wildlife, especially elephants. Leave Chobe and return back to Zimbabwe by road (1,5 hours). Enjoy refreshments and snacks while witnessing the magnificent wildlife. Arrive in time for dinner. Overnight at Batonka Guest Lodge.

Day 9 - Elephants & Dance

In the morning, explore the souvenir markets of Chinontimba. Spend the afternoon at the Elephant Sanctuary located by the Masuwe River. Learn about the conservation of these beautiful creatures, unleash your creative side, and paint the elephants as they come to drink at the watering hole under a big mopane tree. Enjoy a 2-course buffet lunch and cold beverages. Finally, experience a cultural show while having dinner. The evening will be filled with traditional African drumming and dancing. Savour a 4-course dinner while being entertained with the sounds of Africa. Overnight at Batonka Guest Lodge.

Day 10 - Departure

Spend this morning at leisure at the lodge. Indulge in a leisurely home-style breakfast at the restaurant before checking out. Proceed to Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) for your flight home. You can also consider extending your Southern African journey by spending a few more days exploring the vibrant city Cape Town and its surroundings. We invite you to discover the scenic highlights of the Western Cape. Alternatively, fly to the neighboring countries such as Kenya or Madagascar and spend some time on a beautiful tropical beach.
